Follow Clear Creek's steady currents as they meander through Historic Idaho Springs, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey to the mouth of the Lower Canyon. All of our rafting trip locations are located within a convenient drive from Breckenridge. The excitement of Clear Creek and the beauty of the Upper Colorado are both about an hours drive and our Arkansas River location is only an hour and fifteen minutes away.
It is important to arrive at our base 30 minutes before your scheduled trip time in order to sign waivers and get changed. I-70 can have heavy traffic, so it is best to check travel conditions when planning your drive.
Traveling from Breckenridge, head north on CO-9 toward I-70 East. Once traveling east on I-70, take exit 232 and follow US-40 West to the town of Empire. We are in the second building on your right as you enter Empire. Map services such as Google Maps may recommend that you use the address: 409 Park Avenue, Idaho Springs, CO. This isn’t our official address, but it (somehow) takes you to the right spot.
Traveling from Breckenridge, head north on CO-9 toward I-70 East. Take exit 205 for Silverthorne and turn left to stay on CO-9 N. In about 37 miles, you’ll reach the town of Kremmling. Take a left onto US-40 at the traffic light and our office is about a half mile on the left at 200 Park Avenue in Kremmling.
To journey from Breckenridge to Buena Vista, embark on a scenic drive southward along CO-9 S, soaking in the picturesque views of the Colorado mountains. After approximately 38 miles, merge onto US-285 S/US-24 E toward Buena Vista/Colorado Springs. Follow this route for about 19 miles before making a left turn onto CO-24 E/US-24 E, still headed toward Buena Vista. Continue on this road for roughly 26 miles until you reach your destination, Buena Vista. Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking landscapes as you traverse from Breckenridge to the charming town of Buena Vista.
