It is important to arrive at our base 30 minutes before your scheduled trip time in order to sign waivers and get changed. I-70 can have heavy traffic, so it is best to check travel conditions when planning your drive.
To embark on a thrilling adventure at Clear Creek with Downstream Adventures from Vail, follow these simple directions. Travel east on I-70 and take exit 232. From there, merge onto US-40 West and continue until you reach the picturesque town of Empire. As you enter Empire, keep an eye out for our location, conveniently situated in the second building on your right.
While map services might suggest using the address 409 Park Avenue, Idaho Springs, CO, this isn’t our official address, but it will accurately guide you to our spot.
Traveling from Breckenridge, head east on I-70 toward on CO-9 toward Denver. Take exit 205 for Silverthorne and turn left to stay on CO-9 N.
In about 37 miles, you’ll reach the town of Kremmling. Take a left onto US-40 at the traffic light and our office is about a half mile on the left at 200 Park Avenue in Kremmling.
To journey from Breckenridge to Buena Vista, embark on a scenic drive southward along CO-9 S, soaking in the picturesque views of the Colorado mountains. After approximately 38 miles, merge onto US-285 S/US-24 E toward Buena Vista/Colorado Springs.
Follow this route for about 19 miles before making a left turn onto CO-24 E/US-24 E, still headed toward Buena Vista. Continue on this road for roughly 26 miles until you reach your destination, Buena Vista. Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking landscapes as you traverse from Breckenridge to the charming town of Buena Vista.
