FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Wetsuits are not necessary for rafting the Colorado River, but we do offer complimentary splash jackets that can help keep you comfortable on the water

At a normal water level, the Upper Colorado River is suitable for kids as young as 3 years old and weigh at least 35 lbs

Our rafts on the Upper Colorado River typically fit up to 9 paddlers plus a guide. If you have small children, it is possible to fit up to 10 rafters.

Splash jackets are provided, but typically not necessary on the Upper Colorado. You will want to wear clothes and footwear that you are comfortable getting wet in. Swimsuit, athletic shorts, leggings, sun-hoody, rash guard, and fleece top are all suitable layers to wear. Avoid wearing any cotton. You will need shoes that stay on your feet, so no flip-flops or Crocs. A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are recommended.

For our full-day rafting trips, lunch is provided. Our guides will serve up a delicious gourmet deli spread right on the banks of the Colorado River.
